The Type 3730 electro-pneumatic positioner series is designed to work with general industrial applications. This positioner series includes several model versions to meet any end user or process requirements. Basic control positioners are the 3730-0 and 3730-1.
Starting with the 3730-2 the positioner includes full function parameterization and advanced diagnostics. Above the 3730-2 SAMSON introduces communication protocol such as HART (3730-3), Profibus (3730-4), and Foundation Fieldbus (3730-5). Full function parameterization includes characterizing the reference variable, travel range, characteristic (i.e. linear and equal percentage), and performance characteristics (i.e. PID control coefficients). Advance diagnostics includes functions like status message logging, data logging, histograms (travel setpoint deviation, and cycle counter), drive signals (steady and hysteresis), end position trending, static characteristic testing, partial stroke testing, and full stroke testing.
The Type 3372 pneumatic diaphragm actuator is designed for use with V2001 and 3522 control valves for light industrial applications with integral I/P converter or direction attachment of electro-pneumatic 3725 positioner.
This actuator is a linear motion device ideal for valve sizes ranging from 1/2″ to 4″ globe control valves. The thrust force of the actuator depends on the actuator area, pneumatic supply pressure, spring stiffness, distance traveled, initial compression of the spring, the number of springs internal to the actuator, etc.
The Type 3241 threaded seat globe valve is designed for general service applications up to the limits of the ANSI 300 pressure class rating. These general service applications include process events such as erosion, abrasion, corrosion, cavitation, and flashing found in most process control industries.
The Type 3241 has several standard options such as temperature extensions, metal bellows seals, heating jacket, high performance metal sealing trim, soft sealing trim, noise attenuation and cavitation prevention trim sets. In addition to these options the valves can be specialized to meet the exact process needs such as NACE version for sour gas service, cleaned for specific service (e.g. Oxygen, Chlorine, High Purity, etc.), or the pressure swing adsorption (PSA) design.
The Type 3241 can be assembled with a pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, or electro-hydraulic actuator also offered by the SAMSON group to complete the control valve construction. These control valves are designed according to the modular assembly principle, can be equipped with SAMSON GROUP actuators and valve accessories such as positioners, limit switches, and solenoid valves.
The Type 3277 pneumatic rolling diaphragm actuator with an integrated accessory attachment area is designed for all industrial applications. This actuator is a linear motion device ideal for valve sizes ranging from the micro-flow valves to 4″ globe control valves.
